I am a certified Reiki Master. I’ve spent the past several years on a growth and healing journey; from suddenly losing my mother, to getting a concussion, and then being diagnosed with breast cancer. I was first introduced to Reiki while in school for Holistic Nutrition, but it wasn’t until I was going through treatment for breast cancer that I fully experienced the healing potential of energy work. Reiki is a gentle and subtle way to support the body’s natural healing abilities, and it helps to restore balance and well-being on all levels - body, mind and spirit. Reiki energy healing has had some profound effects in my life and I look forward to supporting you on your healing journey. My intention in each session is to create and hold a safe space for you to explore, heal and love yourself.

Kendra‘s interest in intricate connections first led her to a degree in Environmental and Conservation Science at the University of Alberta and, later in life, to delve into the healing arts. While living in Japan, Kendra began her training in Qigong, Shiatsu, Tui Na massage, Japanese acupuncture as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine. Upon returning to Canada she continued her studies and graduated from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Acupuncturist. Kendra is constantly adding to her “toolbox” of knowledge and techniques with further training in areas ranging from neurological conditions to pregnancy.

With experience in both athletic and holistic settings, Kendra is sensitive to her patients’ needs and tailors each treatment according to the layers of injury or imbalance revealed. Whether she is collaborating with colleagues, mentoring developing acupuncturists, leading workshops or working one-on-one with a patient, Kendra facilitates the free-flow of Qi and knowledge in the pursuit of healthful balance.

Kendra enjoys spending time outdoors with her family cycling, hiking, kayaking, tossing rocks in the water and building toasty fires. Kendra also loves to create and uses this outlet as her main form of meditation. In quiet moments she picks up a different set of needles and sews colour and whimsy for her home and online business.

I always dreamed of having a career that involved aiding others in achieving optimal mental and physical health. Thankfully, I have been able to practice this modality for the last 10 years. My massage education was a challenging time that inspired me to create a strong foundation of the fundamentals and principles of massage that I practice everyday. I am trained in myofascial silicone cupping and am a Usui Reiki level 2 practitioner. I am deeply passionate about family, nature, meditation, creating and being of service to others. Over the years I have been truly fortunate to work on a large variety of ailments of the body. I would say my strong suits would be prenatal massage, full body relaxation and chronic/injury related conditions especially in congruence with the neck, shoulders and hips. My treatment style is a combination of sport/therapeutic and relaxation. I enjoy the ability to accommodate to any situation. I strongly believe that Massage Therapy can aide in the greater health of the human body affecting us in a physical, mental and physiological manner. I work hard to treat everyone to the best of my ability or to recommend someone who is better able. Massage is much more than a job to me; it is an essential part of life.

Natural health has always been my passion for as long as I can remember. My energy has always been drawn to helping any living being, even as a young child. As a graduate of MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy’s 2200 hr program with Honors, I am able to fulfill my passion through my career as an RMT.

With the knowledge and training that I have received I am able to treat a wide range of conditions from MVA, TMJD, strains, sprains, overuse injuries, postural dysfunction tendinitis, carpal tunnel and many more. Using the training I have in Orthopedic Assessment, I am able to develop a safe and effective treatment plan to help fit client’s needs, address their areas of concern, and provide a homecare plan to continue with their progression.

I use a variety of techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing, general relaxation Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, active inhibition, dynamic cupping, stretching, and therapeutic strengthening to name a few, helping to achieve the best possible outcome. I love learning and will continue to add different modalities to my credentials to further enhance the healing treatments I provide.

Craniosacral therapy is a light, gentle, listening touch therapy. The craniosacral touch is gentle enough for babies and older persons. Linda became interested in it 10 years ago after her husband died. Her craniosacral therapist told her that her body felt like one that had just had major surgery. Linda thought she meant spiritually. In reality, she was tuning into much more than that. Not yet well known or understood or researched, Craniosacral therapy engages the musculoskeletal, nervous, hormonal, and all the systems of the body in a wholistic way. During a session, an overactive or underactive nervous system can find an optimal level, and all body systems function better. In other words, the effects of stress diminish. Each session is different because it is based on what the body is saying and doing in the present moment. Together, you and the therapist tune into where it needs support, and healing is directed by your body’s own health and intelligence, the innate intelligence that first showed up when you were developing in utero. How do you and the therapist help your body? By acknowledging what’s going on, observing without judgement and allowing your health to restore you. Craniosacral touch is incredibly potent. Some have called it nutritional – Linda agrees. It nourishes your body. You may be noticing you’re not able to get the benefits of touch, especially in these COVID times. Linda believes that Craniosacral therapy is not just a treatment where hurting people feel better, but an introduction to living with calmness, self-caring and awareness. Linda’s intention is to be of service to you physically, emotionally, energetically and spiritually. She especially enjoys working with arms and hands, pregnancy, and trauma. Craniosacral therapy also goes hand in hand with counselling work.
